We left Rochester around a little before noon on Friday. It started to rain just as we were leaving Sweeney's driveway and didn't really let up until Pennsylvania. Since we were running late, we went straight to the Ashland Country Fairgrounds to watch dirt-track racing. Again, just as the racing was to start, it rained again, delaying the start of the racing. We didn't get to the track until after it was already dark, so we set the tent up without the benefit of light. We spent the rest of the night smoking cigars, drinking beer, eating dinner at the 24-hour breakfast dive, and buying more beer.

And so begins our tale on Saturday morning...
